Well I know I am one of Macca's more 'vocal' detracters but a line has to be drawn somewhere and I for one think we should stop judging him on past performances and give him a clean slate for next season.

We have to ask ourselves what expectations we have going onto next season to judge Macca against first though. Even Eddie will agree that silverware is unrealistic so what would people class as success for us next season

For mine a valiant CC semi final exit, top 4 finish and winning at least one game in the play-offs would be a step in the right direction and enough to show McBanana is learning

Oh, and at least 1 win over Leeds would be good, also teams like Wigoon and Saints too

I dont think we'll win anything so performance will be the thing for me. Some definite sign of progression. Competitive matches against Leeds & St Helens. A couple more of the younger players coming through.



3rd place would be decent but that would depend on whether Warry & Wigan can fulfill their potential and Catalans maintain their progress. I doubt if Hull will be as bad this year.

Same here. If we manage that I'll be happy things are heading in the right direction. Silverware is beyond us this year IMO.

The Bulls have got to be more competitive against the bigger sides this year to show progress ... I had this horrible feeling of an inevitable loss very time we played Leeds or Saints last year ... it would be nice to believe we can win a (few?) big games - that to me would be progress.

It's only one season ago that we had one thumping win, one draw, a narrow defeat and a Ganson-Klein production against Leeds. Over due a win against them at Odsal, mind.

Yes and put that in context - how many times have we played Leeds or Saints in the past 3 years ... I'm no stato but I think it's about 16 times and I can only recall 3 wins.

Which is what I have been saying for long enough. TBH, to expand slightly, it is the big game mentality of McNamara that is in question. Fair enough to say that Leeds and Saints are better than us but Wigan are not neccessarily, Salford in 2006 was a shocker too and it seems that he spectacularly fails when the going gets tough. (CC semi last year, Wigan play-off 2007 for example).

Why should it in 2006 we beat Saints and Leeds once since then it's 1 win in 2 seasons against both of them.

..and like everybody else, I'm struggling to see how they'll explain the inept performances we saw last year or what Mr Duffy will get out of this.



Afterall, it isn't yours or my fault that we have a coach who



a) failed to motivate his squad

b) tactically masterminded our worst season for how many years

c) brought in poor signings and then awarded them with 3 year deals (Platt)

d) could only defend his poor tactical choices and game plans by blaming officials



or a club that



a) has failed to acknowledge last year as a failure

b) seems to have no interaction with fans apart from a fans forum

Except I presume to you, since your mind is as closed a book on the subject of the Bulls as a book that has been nailed shut, superglued together and pressed under a ton of concrete. They could get Barack Obama, Billy Graham and Abe Lincoln to speak, it would make no difference to you, so what's the interest?

Nothing you have got to say certainly.

e) has turned year on year losses which would have lead to to the bankruptcy of the club into consecutive years of profit.



f) has turned around years of under investment in the youth system.



g) has reduced by almost half the clubs reliance on overseas players.



h) has resolved a disastrous legal dispute with Leeds Rhinos without losing any of our best young players.



i) Has finished in the play offs despite losing 2 out of the 3 best players in the country to our fiercest rivals.
