I agree that it is worrying that people can be suggesting a move back to Odsal. Having spent too many wet seasons on the terraces "enjoying" summer rugby, it will be good to watch the boys in relative comfort under a roof, especially in Jan, Feb, Mar, and April. The rent / rates at Odsal, will surely never be reduced to a level whereby a championship side can afford to play from there. And even if they were, do we really think it would be acceptable to continue to put up with the old place which is now becoming an embarrassment.



My view is that, having now left Odsal, a return there would be a retrograde step. We need a fresh start, including playing out of a new stadium. Unfortunately, I cannot see us ever being able to afford a new stadium, so the only alternative to the pile that is Odsal appears to be a permanent ground share. That won't be to everyone's liking, but at least we'll still have a team to support. Unfortunately, the problem reverts back to the question - who would we share with on a permanent basis? Difficult

if we go back to odsal we might as well insist on going back to winter rugby too. A threat like that will do for the fan base, such as it is.



Not sure if anybody has mentioned it but there will be a series of leases and sub leases, what title/lease BMDC and the RFL have I cannot remember, but one thing is clear: The Bulls do not, so how this land grab affects the bulls is a mystery to me.



either Chalmers or his backer(s) put £1.2m into the club over the two years published accounts. so it follows that it is Chalmers or his backers that have written off all or most or part of that. And if the backer was Wood, then he is a serious masochist or has soooo deep pockets to be back around for more.

Welp, I've just got my response back from 'Ask the Bulls' despite not being a 2020 season ticket holder. They have gone a way to answer my questions, and the one "Why should we trust you?" was answered as succinctly as it could be:



[iQuite simply they are people who care about the club and have committed to get involved and pledge personal resources to assist the club. They, like yourself, have spent many years on the terraces and in the stands at Odsal and simply want to see the club perform properly. The most significant fact is that there is a lot of rugby league experience and knowledge at the club and the hope is that the boom/bust cycle is consigned to the past.



We can understand your scepticism, and the only reassurance we can offer is that the new owners are not people who have previously been involved. There is no shortcut or alternative other than to ask that our performance is actually judged, not those of previous regimes. [/i



While I haven't got a whole lot of faith in anyone involved in the Bulls at the moment, this seems to be a positive start. And (let's face it) getting any response at all is a plus!



It hasn't sold me a season ticket though. Actions, not words, are needed.

If you read news of yet another Bulls related scandal, this time involving £150K plus of misappropriated funds and/or alleged commercial fraud, then please reflect upon the fact that 'nestegg' told you so.



We recognise that it is high time for us to directly cut through the 'smoke and mirrors' nonsense being reported by what still represents a murky and untrustworthy Wood/ Sawyer/ Chalmers/ RFL consortium.

No, nobody is interested apart from maybe a dozen people but don't let us stop a highly professional person spending tens of hours online in the early hours of the morning typing like mad thinking he is talking to thousands when it is only a hand full. You have to laugh!

OK so the eggers have made a clear and concise statement and they admit they have to 'walk the walk', which they do. So why the detraction? I've said before that patience may be the key and I for one am prepared to wait and see. I won't knock it until I see what comes out of it all. Maybe some folk are just hoping they'll never hear from the eggers again. The whole game is in a mess not just our club so any alternative to toxic Woody and the legacy at RFL is worth a punt. Here's hoping something actually good and ulimately worthwhile comes form it.

If '..patience is the key...' and you're '...prepared to wait and see...' to what a bunch of late-night-posting conspiracists get up to, why not the same for our new, confusing overlords?

I have not been on this forum for a long time, it's very depressing reading the mostly negative posts, however,one major thing strikes me, if I was part of a "consortium" seriously interested in investing in the Bulls would I consistently be posting rumours and spreading alarm and despondency on this forum ? Surely all my valuable time would be better employed by securing more investment rather than posting tittle tattle?!

If it ever turned out this group of people (The 'Nestegg' group) EVER took over my club, I think that would be me totally done with the club forever. A more unprofessional and untrustworthy group of people I have never encountered in my life.



What I [ido[/i think is possible is that 'nestegg' has people within the group who have some knowledge of the inner workings of the club over recent years, which they may use at some point to destabilise the club. My speculative guess would be that they are people who have previously worked at the club, perhaps in the back office, and thus have access to certain information that the likes of us would not. Either that or people connected to the club who are possibly owed money by Andrew Chalmers or Marc Green. They've been able to use this to fuel rumour and speculation, without ever really adding anything of value.



In short, they may 'know where the bodies are buried' - but, as for them having 'investment' to take over the running of a club, don't make me laugh....

I've a fair idea I know who at least a few of the group are. It's a group that's been around for a long time with different people being involved, but if my hunch is correct (and I've certainly seen things to suggest it is), you're certainly not a million miles away with that. Not trying to be all "cloak and dagger" like they are, but just don't want to make accusations without any real evidence to back it up.









Thirded. I've only just read the last couple of pages and the exact same thought had occurred to me. I generally believe anyone who's backing them up or heralding them is one of them anyway though (especially when they have very few posts or new accounts).

This to me is all that Nestegg is doing, through posting resentment of the current regime and making allegations without giving any evidence to back it up.

I agree with other posters that the professional ability of this person or group has to be questioned, given both the frequency, length and content of their posts.

"Smoke and mirrors" is a stock phrase quoted on a regular basis, aimed at the RFL, the current owners and board of the club. Pot calling the kettle black in my world, as this is exactly what their own posts amount to.
