| no great surprise really. Bet the city lot go quiet abiut a groundshare now there isnt the prospect of the 15 million being used to buy back VP (which was always there only interest if we're honest). Need club to make an announcement as to their plan B now (although as adey says the 15 million was never for the stadium part of scheme anyway, so whatever plans we have for the stadium portion are probably in the same state as before the 15 million was pulled. Just means we can concentrate on providing just the facilities bulls need and forget all the other aspects of scheme)

As far as I can tell there are three reasons why the T&A turns off comments on newly published articles:
1) Someone has been murdered or raped.
2) They think they'll be deluged with the barely restrained racism of most of the people who comment on there.
3) Everything in the article is a crock of .
Surprised it's taken this long to be dropped though tbh.

| Can't say I'm surprised and not surprised to see the T&A making sure their buddies in the Council get to look as good as possible in the process.
So I wonder what plan B is?

| Now they're largely made up of people swallowing the T&A line that it was £15m for the Bulls.

I agree with this, especially the bit about plan B. The club have always said there is a plan B...well, we might as well get on with plan B and announce what it is. (assuming we do have one of course)
I think its fairly clear to all the OSV has been dead in the water for a long time, I think it would help to officially kill it so we can move on to plan B or C, or D.....etc.

doubt it. the big attraction of a ground share for city was prospect of the 15 million being used to buy vp back from current owner and hopefully mean lower rents for them. With that prospect now out the window bet they'll go quiet on the idea. After all the current owners of VP can now potentially charge 2 clubs higher rent. they wont drop citys rent if we came on board as tenants - why would they their businessmen - they'll jus tcharge both clubs as much as they think they can get away with.

| SL licence application being worked on as we speak, to be submitted by 30 April.
Pathetic excuse for a council (iteration #37) effectively cans the project now.
Council therefore does our Licence application no good at all - although I suppose they could have left it till the day after we submitted had they REALLY sought to shaft the club.

| Any educated guesses about "plan B"? Do you think its a genuine list of options or is 'Plan B' a plan to come up with a plan....
1. Moving out of the city and ground sharing with Fax must be one of them. I know you bradfordians have a problem with that but I wouldn't.
2. All 10,600 of us go around to Ken Morrisons house and beg - I'm not too proud.
3. erm....

Let's get Bruce Wayne to buy us a new stadium via the Wayne Foundation.
As the OSV required the raising of the pitch, there'd be tons of room under the pitch for him to put in a Bat-Cave.

| Not from me there aren't! We might have had something already built by now if they hadn't constantly changed their minds over what they wanted.
We need to stay in Bradford if at all possible. Could the club come up with some sort of gradual plan to do up Odsal bit by bit (probably over the next 100 years!) that would satisfy the RFL. Then the club could concentrate on all the other things that go toward securing a license such as junior development, performance on the field and getting a decent crowd. As Hood said we got a grade B last time so why not again? The 10k season ticket holders must help the cause.

| Would serve this dungheap council (latest iteration) right if one of the neighbouring local authorities stumped up some land and a grant or three just over the boundary. Say down near Chain Bar or at Midpoint. And were amenable to a Tesco store on-site. And we found some friendly developer and managed to get a basic stadium off the ground.
In fact a big new Tescos and a new stadium at Midpoint would be quite ironic, since the Tesco would be within a short walk of Morrisons' head office but Bradmet would have to provide the road access. Up yours Bradmet up yours Morrisons?
Would make a mess of the Service Areas though!

| But I'm sure Bradmet would be delighted as they'd try to bask in the reflected glory at no expense to them. I imagine the T&A would be cranking up the bandwagon too.
I'd love it to happen but can't see Leeds, Kirklees or Calderdale Councils doing it unless it cost them nothing and could be spun as a vote winner somehow.

OK, maybe not.

| In my opinion all that needs to be done at Odsal is a roof putting on the terraces and updating a few facilities. Forget the sports village, we all knew that it was never going to happen. Now that it looks to be dead in the water i hope the club sit down and draw up a plan and get it into action asap ready so it doesn't cost us our super league lisence.

I have to agree with you there, the OSV is dead in the water, and has been for a number of years. The club should start to "paper over the cracks" now, but not for the superleague licence, but for the benefit of the fans. Roof over the terraces is a minimum requirement for a modern day stadium.
That said the affect on your superleague application will be to take you from an A to a B grade (which you were last time around), which will ensure you are given a licence.
