It's tragic really. I knew a bloke from Birkenshaw with MND who was a lifelong Rhino, fought to his last days and always remembered as a top bloke. The same has been said for Rob. />
As a young fan I never liked him, but that was only because I feared him so much. His pace was lightning, and it terrorised defences year in year out. |

Truly awful news. The little fella broke my heart many times by creating or scoring tries against us alongside McGuire. I was already in tears watching his interview on TV when I took a phone call informing me that a lifelong friend and staunch Northern / Bulls supporter had passed away that morning. A very sad day indeed. I think there will be a very good crowd at Headingley on January the 12th.

When I just read this on the Bulls website, it brought a big lump to my throat. Such a good player, always commanded respect when he played against us(and all other teams as well) God be with you Rob, I never knew you personally, but it makes me proud to call you by your first name..
