it is my understanding & the true belief of every Salford fan who has posted on RLFans that the RFL [i'forced'[/i Salford out of the Willows with the ultimatum that if you do not move to a modern stadia, criteria etc, etc, then you will not have a SL Licence. />
This rightly angers Salford fans as they did not do the same to both Wakefield & Castleford. />

The way Wakefield constantly conned the RFL with "Oh but we're moving to a new stadium" was bad. The fact the RFL kept falling for it when everyone could see how transparent the lie was, was worse.

As Eric Morecambe would have said "All the right words but not necessarily in the right order". The salary cap was introduced to stop Wigan going bust when they didn't win everything. They were definitely in queer street the year Salford knocked them out of the cup having already budgeted for their annual trip to Wembley. Then along came Tesco, well, "Every little helps" as they say.
