Would have thought that agreement was only with original holding company and became void after first admin. And as others have said think it only covered him coming back to league anyway.

I doubt it. If you listen to KooKoo, Salford are in the frame for signing every player who's ever laced up his boots.

He said on Twitter today that Sam was the player that he asked for special dispensation from the salary cap last week. RFL said no, so he couldn't sign him.

As you say the reality may be another story, but at least he gets the fans talking.
