How many clubs are affiliated to the RL? Why do all these clubs have to bow down to the greed of the few. Let the SL clubs split and join with RU, in time it will make for a stronger, better, more honest game. Let Championship and Amateur clubs move the game along. I am sick of hearing of SL clubs Charitable Foundations (ha,ha) and also how they have produced so many players through their academies. The only players they get into their academies are produced by local amateur clubs who get sweet FA for 10 years of coaching and nurturing young players.

No, but the combined investment of Davy, Moran, Hudgell, McManus plus what Lenagan probably waved goodbye to in London doesn't quite equate to my understanding of selfish and self interested either. Some of these guys have picked up important member clubs from years/decades of decline and shovelled money and time into them. They can't be treated and spoken of as a bunch of ******s.

To be fair, you'd expect nothing less than a chairman to stand up for the best interests of his club, though the clubs, and the game, stand together as a single entity in many ways and whilst none of us really knows what is going on at Red Hall, it's difficult to see it as being in the best interests of the game.

None of the 6 would be where they are, in the top 8, without their sugar daddies. I am under no illusion. But to some of them it is a dick measuring exercise & they are not that bothered about RL as long as their team is at the top. A look at the thread, club or country, on the Wigan site shows the small town, short-sightedness. As it is I do not agree with the change of format but out of all of them Hetherington strikes me as the one true RL man.
