[Hi this will possibly sound very harsh, but it is meant as a polite word of warning or a suggestion, cougar fans - quite a few on here, who are very vocal at games have already said that they really wont be nice to a bucket collection being held at cougars for bulls. Your other charity would be welcome, but not bulls, not to help them with money, no way, we feel sorry for players, its not their fault who they are employed by but Cougar fans can't stand bulls, infact most wont even say the name. Our chairman might of said its ok, but as you as a bulls fan will know by the way your current chairman is, chairmen dont always understand fans or the the feelings they have. This will only end up as a negative experience for you. I wish you luck in your walk, quite a few cougar fans once walked from Keighley to Dewsbury in aid of a young fan who died. I will not and won't be putting any money into the bulls fund - your other charity fine, but not a penny to help save the bulls. I really do feel you would be made welcome for the other charity, but not for the bulls fund, if any fans want to donate to it, they know to ring your club directly. like I said I wish you luck in the walk, but I feel I must make you aware that any bucket collection for helping to save the Bulls will not be received well by alot of cougar fans.)





I may of just done that wrong above but I don't usually post in this format. I do believe that the above reply was meant as a friendly piece of advice, not meant to upset you, in fact trying to pre-warn you about what might of happened that day. There was a thread on the Cougar forum taking about bucket collections before you posted yours. I do believe you were at the game and did the collection and raised a bit of money, so well done to you for that.



My point all along was just to say how amazing it is that a thread was posted about this subject and that it was over 18 pages long.

In response to the question about how was the cougars v sheffield game on the radio, we have a local station which gives live coverage of the games. It is done by 2 fans and is a volunteer station.

The times people had commented about not going to games include the warrington game, wigan game in the CC last season, or maybe the season before, infact quite a few times people have posted about not going to games. It is there choice, not a problem I just think that no-one else can have a go at other fans for not turning up to a game, which is what this thread turned into from about page 2.

Hope this had cleared up a few of my points that I made. I like to read alot of forums, I am a rugby league fan, and a few members of my family go to the Bulls but don't have the internet so I use your part to keep them informed on certain things connected with your club. That is why I comment on these too, I never get personal though to other people and start having ago about peoples spelling, punctuation or grammar, its a shame that not everyone else on here can say the same.

Fair enough. Everything that was said regarding my walk was cautionary and important. I'm still none the wiser why this was brought up on this thread but I've not been following it closely, it probably makes perfect sense within context. Anyhoo, if everyone can just get back to bickering and leave me well out of it - that would be grand. And how previous posters can compare me to Alibert is beyond me, his counting ability is much better than mine...
