I can't speak for the useless Wire trolls, but as a (presumably) useless Hull troll, I'm here because it's quite funny to see the hysterical reaction to Roby getting a tackle badly wrong. I don't think I've ever seen such a reaction to a perfectly legal challenge, especially given that most of those reacting haven't even seen said challenge.

Saw the hit last night and IMO Roby was a victim of his own enthusiasm. He clearly wanted to put a hit on O'Meley, despite being in a poor position to do so. Normally a technically very good defender over-stretched himself on this occassion, the 'hit' was never on (brave lad because I bet he knew it too). He's not the first to be put on his backside by O'Meley and probably not the last.

No, i've not seen it. May well be correct, but it is very unusual for Roby to get the technique wrong, but it happens to the best of them.

The less dim ones realise being top of the legue in June means nothing - in fact the really intelligent ones (pains me to say it but people like Rogues) realise finishing top means full stop means very little - combine that with the fact they've been dumped out of the CC again and you have your explination

finishing top does actually mean a lot, well finishing in the top 2 anyhow, very difficult to win the hubcap from out of the top 2.

That's a myth, IMO. In the early days of Superleague it might have been tricky but these days it would seem that most teams can beat most other teams on their day. Since the playoffs are a knock out competition I'd say it was perfectly possible for the team placed eighth to beat the top team. All it takes is for one to up their game and the other to be a bit wobbly. You were kicked out of the Challenge Cup on just 30 seconds max of poor tackling. That's all it takes.

It's top 4 IMO now, any of the top teams can turn one of the others over in a one off match, even away. I'm not sure many could play the top teams away from home in a succession of matches and still prevail though.

Nope. Now that I've seen it, I don't think there was anything wrong with it either. That is the first time I remember Roby getting a tackle all wrong.
