I reckon if Warrington hold their nerve and their defensive line they'll win it, but by how many I have no idea.



I do hope Wire win it.



Did anyone see the pics from Warrington on Look North tonight? They've even stuck a flag on the statue of Cromwell. It sounds like the town has caught the mood big time.

After very careful consideration, and consulting the stars, and watching the habits of the gnats and other insects I conclude that it is all down to chance (or the referee?)

Ah yes ..... the gnats, forgot about them.

Monas and Briers to run the show.



Wire's pack are big enough to more than match Hudds pack, and it's a more skillful pack with the likes of Louis and Vinnie Anderson and also Ben Westwood.



Think it'll be close up until half time, in the second half Wire will be dominant and win by 10-16 points.

Hudds defence is very good, best in the league, so it may cancel out the wire attack. I think hudds will win and comfortably.

He certainly took Wales close to upsetting the Ausies

Hudds just been robbed by the video ref. Clear try in my opinion but Bentham said double movement.



Just as I type this, Lunt goes over to make it 6-4 with the kick to come.



I've got a tenner on a Hudds win and a tenner on Brett Hodgeson for Lance Todd.



Hodgeon kicks to level it at 6-6.

there was no better performers on that pitch than briers and morley i.m.o

For a team that had been in a final before, they were a bit lost for direction with very notable players not responding to the occasion at all well. Most notable I thought was Robinson, who was like a rabbit in the headlights in the first half and a spoilt brat in the second.

Whatever.

It was a double movement. He'd come to a stop. The tackle had been completed. He then reached out his arm and scored. That's a double movement! Tackled, then reached out. Can't be doing that or else there would be a try fest near the line everytime anyone was tackled there!

As Justin Morgan pointed out, it looked that way initally but there was nothing on the slow mo to prove that had happened.



The obstruction one was a joke. Bridge made the wrong play and went for the dummy runner and the video ref rewarded poor defending by giving the NO try. The Giant ran into a gap which Bridge jumped into, if they are going to disallow that they'll have to start disallowing every try where a dummy runner is used.



Having said that Warrington deserved the win. They aren't a great side but they went about it well and Huddersfield simply didn't get going. I mentioned this beforehand, I would never back them win a final as they don't have any inspirational figures that stand up and lead in that situation. The likes of Brown and Robinson just wilted and looked in vain for someone else to do things for them. That was the worst I've seen Huddersfield play in many moons, they'll be destraught.

Harrison & Cooper are wingers then?

Well, watching the slo mo showed him coming to a stop in the tackle then reaching out his hand. I always thought if you came to a stop in a tackle it was a completed tackle? If so, to then reach out your hand and put the ball over is a double movement.





I didn't think so at all. The Wire player was clearly going directly towards the attacker with the ball and was stopped from doing so, which I would have thought was a clear example of obstruction.





They did deserve the win yes, and you may say they are not a great side but boy did they do well what we hopelessly failed to do against Hudds just a few weeks ago. So based upon the match today, Wire are a better side than we are! We couldn't think of a single thing to do bar barge up the middle - and when we had only one prop in the pack!



Glad Wire won. Never know, they may manage to beat us, now they've actually had their Year of the Wolf!

For me the only dodgy video ref decision was the Matt King no try.

There was no attempted tackle on the Hudds guy so for me it was a fair strip.

It was deffo a double movement and a dead cert obstruction for the other two IMO.
