I've seen a lot of him - I reffed him as a junior and I've watched him at Quins a lot. Looking at a comparison with, say, Hargreaves, then you'd say we've gained a fair bit.



He's about Hargreaves' size, but he's much faster, and he's a lot more aggressive. LMS's problem is that the Eddie&Stevo mantra about Brian McDermott being a great coach isn't really accurate. Under McDermott, LMS has stagnated. Under a decent coach, and playing with a strong team around him, I think LMS has the chance to become a very good prop/second-row. It's down to him, of course, but I see no reason not to be hopeful we've landed a real good one here.

Well as i say iv not seen much of him but i got a good impression because alot of people i know kept going on about him coming and i think it explains Bryn's departure but aslong as we replace good for better then its good news all round

I agree, i was annoyed at the fact that Bryn went but was happy when this deal got confirmed, i think its a very good replacement for Bryn and now eases the unhappy people that was unhappy Bryn went

good luck to the rest of the league next season - they will need it. the only weak links there are moore and gardner. if wheeler can stay fit he would be a good replacement for either.

To be fair he's going to be on a fair sum. With Hull and Wigan very interested in him and he generally being one of the most sought after props you aren't going to get him cheap.



I have mixed feelings about not getting him, no doubt he was one of the brightest prospects on the markets but I can't help but feel he gets overrated because he's one of few decent prospects from London.



Very nice pack you have for next season though.

I'm normally as much of a pessimist as you (or nearly anyway). but that is a very strong line-up. good defensively, plenty who can bust a tackle, and some capable finishers. oh, and the best player in the league in james roby.

Happy as larry that he has gone to Saints and that now if he works hard he can really make something for himself.

When wigan sign a player, its for a packet of peanuts and some hubba bubba because they want the privaledge of playing for wigan.



When saints sign someone, its for £300k a year, car, house and pension.



Its amazing we stay under the cap considering we are using half the cap on Shenton and LMS (if you believe the pie fans)
