Some people in the media and maybe on this board think Saints have nothing to lose tomorrow night. Well I feel differently about that. We waited 8 long years to get the Super League Trophy back to Langtree Park last year in the most extraordinary of circumstances. The players we have tomorrow, we would have killed for to have at the start of the play-off series last year. We have our title to defend, we could go alongside the team of 1999/2000 to achieve back to back Super League Title wins. If we were to defend our title players of today (Walmsley, Roby, Walsh, Wilkin, Percival) could be held in the same esteem as we hold Perelini, Cunningham, Long, Martyn, Sculthorpe and Joynt who won it back all them years ago.



The point of this message is simple, we have a far better chance of winning the title this year with the current playing roster we have compared to when we started the play-offs last year, yeah we have been dusted by Leeds on 3 occasions this year but won well at Headingley only a few weeks ago. I for one truly believe we will win tomorrow and go for our date with destiny with huge confidence.



One word: BELIEVE

He use to be indecisive, but now he's not so sure.

It should be a good game. But this is perhaps the first year I can remember where all the playoff teams look shonky.

In relative terms, Saddened coming out with this is a bit like when William Wallace did that awe inspiring pre battle speech/team talk in Braveheart.
