Hope no-one took the pathetic thread that appeared on our board seriously.
Was hoping that Long wouldn't be out for the whole season - I'm pretty sure that a lot of you were hoping that you would be able to see him play towards the end of the year to give him a proper send-off (at Knowsley Road or whatever its called these days
) rather than an injury ending his Saints career completely.
He may look like the 'travelling sort'
but others can't deny the impact he's had on Saints during his career and like I said it would be a shame for him to end his St Helens career on the injury table rather than on the field.
