Plenty I should imagine, alcoholics are merely people who have a physical and/or psychological addiction to alcohol, apart from this commonality there is a huge diversity amongst them. Personally I prefer the term 'problem drinker' to 'alcoholic' as it recognises the impact that their alcohol use is having on their lives, recognition of which is the pre-requisite to moving towards recovery.

If a person really can't sit down for a max 40 minutes without HAVING to go for another beer then maybe that person should have considered sitting on the end of a row instead of in the middle.

part of the highlight of my friday night game at headingley is my couple of pints after the game in my local favourite pub, but i cannot relate to the people who feel the need to drink beer in lets face it cold uncomfortable thermal conditions ,and those who move straight to the bar about 3-5 minutes before halftime then we all have to standup and let them pass when they return 3-5 minutes after the restart.

i couldnt drink during the game to save my life it looks too much like torture

Yes it is, but you were still moaning and having a pop at others for doing the same.

They are, but when their selfishness starts affecting others enjoyment then its out of order.

I do realise that, which is why I got two for the first half, and other two at half time, so that I didn't ruin anyone's enjoyment (which is a term used loosley as most people wanted to moan about something rather than watch the game)

Maybe they couldn't see the game because they had to keep standing up to let people out, or people in front of them were going to the bar all the time??

Nobody was going to the bar all the time though, we all took up enough beer for each half, the only time any of us got out to go elsewhere was when Bailey was down.

I'd say someone shoving past to go to the bar every five minutes would be a pretty good reason for those disrupted to complain.



I'd have just refused to stand up and the drunk would have had to find somewhere else to sit.

I'd just have barged past, if I said excuse me mate it's courtesy to be let past.



And as I've said, I never went to the bar at all during any of the action on the field, I took up 2 drinks to prevent me from having to do this.

If it had been quite a few times excuse me wouldnt matter.

From what Ari Gold has said he does it in a sensible way which doesn't impact on others so where is the problem? Even if he (or any other fan) did need to leave the stand for whatever reason during the game as long as they do so in a polite fashion and not every 5 mins does it matter? People need to leave the stand during a game for a number of reasons not just to go back and forward to the bar!

Well my sister was pregnant for the majority of last season and she was back and forward from the stands to go to the toliets more that I was to go to the bar





The times I am generally in and out of the stands more are when I have taken friends children with me and they need the toliet/drink etc ever 20 mins or so!

Where have I been named as being involved? I was sticking up for mates who this is obviously about.
