Sheff Utd have won 7 out of their last 8 games and that kind of form will invariably take them up. Ideally your description of their “poor” form (3 wins out of the 3 games you mention) will lead to a terrible run of future matches in which they drop lots of points and hand the title to us. Football doesn’t work like that, and Wilder won’t give a s### about people saying how poor his team have been playing when the ultimate goal is to win matches and get over the line.

You know, the one where he talks about it “being a great week” for the club, how “brilliant” they played against Boro on Wednesday, and how it’s “all about winning games”.
