I am sure people really are naïve enough to believe that as well. We lost the games because we were not good enough, nothing to do with the Challenge Cup, as proved when it mattered.



And as for you getting a season ticket. Anyone can look at your postings, on nearly every match when it is been played, you are posting on here. So on this occasion I doubt your claim of getting a season ticket is anything more than tongue in cheek.

The cup isn't just 3 or 4 games though is it, it's spread over a few months and clearly had an effect on the whole squad. I'd prefer the GF every time but we all know how much they wanted it.



As I said, I fully expect a top 2 finish next year with at least 1 new signing to be announced soon. Hopefully a 7 or 9 as we're ok everywhere else despite what the glass half empty brigade think.

I think it finally dispels the myth that Leeds can peak at the right time for the playoffs every year.



Thats two years in a row we have taken our eye of the ball, form and fitness wise and have looked past it come the crunch.



I dont believe in throwing the baby out with the bathwater, this squad still has more to give and can bounce back from this setback, but it has shown some glaring deficencies that we must come to terms with and accept and put right.

Who's gonna be announced?

I'd like to think that we'll see the effects of most of our players having a long and proper pre-season in 2015. For the last four/five years, we've had a side that has played in every or almost every fixture possible, without a break, and then gone on to make up a big chunk of the England side



We're likely to only have 5/6 representatives at the 4N (Hardaker, Hall, Watkins, Ablett, maybe JJB, maybe Burrow). At the WC, we had those six, plus Briscoe and Aiton.



Most of the squad will have a full three and a half months before the first game of 2015 - something that they haven't had for a long time. As the players get older, that becomes even more valuable - I think JP is testament to that.



BMD definitely has to trust in youth more but, at the same time, there are a number of players that probably need to do more to repay that trust. Singleton rarely impresses me, Ward often looks like a square peg in a round hole, Keinhorst doesn't look up to the job and Sutcliffe looks like he is going to need a lot of time to become a quality six. Walters looks impressive and I would like to get another look at Foster now that he's had a year of first team under his belt (although admittedly, I've not seen much of him at the Broncos).

Performances were poor for the whole second half of the season in the league.

First time in a 11 seasons we have failed to reach a GF 2 years running. Lowest league placing since Superleague 1 in 1996 and our lowest ever place under the playoff system, lowest number of points scored since 1998 (where we scored 662 compared to this years 685 - but with four less games in '9icon_cool.gif.



On the plus side, we conceded our lowest number of points since 2008 and won the CC for the first time since 1999.

OK, I could go on about Leeds' mid season form for the past few seasons before coming good in the final quarter but I won't....
