The Sporting Life link mentions a string of speeding convictions, a string for goodness sake, the lad's only 21. Has he got a brain? Do we want him if he's so naive that he appears (if the story is true) to keep committing the same offence?

My German colleague racks up 5-10 speeding offences a year on the autobahn, yet he is entitled to live and work here.

I am not defending him but he won't be the first young lad with a bad record of speeding and he won't be the last!



Surely if it was down to his driving convictions conditions could have been placed on his visa banning him from driving when over here rather than simply saying "no"

It was the reference to a "string of speeding convictions". I allow anyone the chance to cock up once (though I would make an exception for incest or violent crimes) but to repeat it smacks of stupidity.

Did Eastwood (or his agent) tell us about his previous when we entered in to contract talks with him in the middle of last year ?



We should also go back to the point of when the paperwork was lodged with the British Embassy in Canberra .... Have they been sat on the documents since we signed him months ago or was the brown envelope handed to them a couple of weeks ago ?

On the plus side, I can see it being well in to the season before he gets here and that will just give us the right sort of boost for the run on the Challenge Cup.
