Yes but he is still young and could grow into his frame. Look at shenton (granted i don't rate him but saints do) he ain't big, I could snap him! And even atkins ain't as big in the flesh. He looks alot bigger on tv.

Are you mixing your players up? You should stand at the side of him. Shenton is a big lad, perfect frame for a centre.

no i aint mixing him up, not saying he hasnt got a good frame but i have stood near him and he isnt that big at all.

Compare him to Inglis, Kenny-Dowall, Sau, Senior etc, then tell me he's big & has a perfect frame for a centre.

He may be reasonably tall but he's far from well-built.

Why compare him to those? why not compare him to Gidley, Hodges, Tate, Yeaman, Gleeson?

Compared to all those I still believe that he would be skinnier.

But keep on trying, eventually you'll find someone half decent who's even less well built than Shenton.

But that's only my opinion, but then it's only yours as well.

You are certainly nearly correct. Although have seen Shenton hand Senior is harris on two occassions, though accepted the other way round has previosly been the norm.



However, that said in what way does Senior in his prime and a young Shenton have anything to do with whether or not Shenton is the right frame to be a centre?



Did you miss all the times that Senior in his prime owned nearly every centre he came up against?

I suspect one of the occasions Gotcha is grasping at was the game at Cas five days after the WCC win over Melbourne, in which Leeds fielded a patched-up side and just about every player got outplayed by their Cas counterpart.



Can't think of the other one off the top of my head, but even so I reckon that must make it about 12-2 in Senior's favour, not bad for an old man.

2011 Squad numbers to be announced at end of this week

Saw some mention of Lowes as new assistant earlier in this thread but having seen the way that Blackpool played against us earlier this year would much rather see Martin Crompton as assistant. With some speed and skill coming back in to contention, in the form of Watkins and BJB, I think that we can afford to have a more attacking and fluent style next season. When Smith was chief coach with McDermott as assistant I think that we played more attractive rugby than under McLennan - though I am delighted at the success which Bluey continued to provide.

Even though our squad still isn't complete?, unless we announce new signing (s), by the end of this week.

Well they could leave a number or two in the 20 unfilled as in the past

Yep i think that'll be the case but i hope they get the squad/coaching recruitment sorted asap because our pre-season starts soon.
