I believe that the 49 er's have been calling the shots for a while now behind the scenes and more so when Leeds were struggling results wise and were getting dragged into a relegation fight, As they want to Invest cash / buy the club whilst they are still in the PL.
This will make far more sense when this scenario pans out and they either just invest more cash or completely take over the ownership of the club.
But In my opinion it will be the latter and that they will soon become the major stakeholders or owners outright
