I think it's far too early to talk about getting rid of Mac. I've seen most of Quins home games under his leadership and whilst on the whole I think he did a decent job, there was always a question mark over how much the relative lack of talent and depth in squad (compared to Leeds) contributed to declines in performance over the years.



My Quins supporting wife commented that the Leeds performance against Quins was like watching Quins last year and I have to say the errors, poor defence and apparent lack of structures against Wire had similarities to Quins last year too. FWIW I didn't expect a Leeds victory but I did expect a resonse to the Quins game.



Rob Powells most telling comment at the start of the season was that Quins had had to relearn how to defend in the off season - how telling a comment that is on Mac's ability as a coach will only be revealed as the season progresses. In my mind the players have to take most of the responsibility for their performance against Wire, but the coaching team can't be entirely blameless.
