If there's proven actual match fixing (by which I mean a result was manufactured) - regardless of how 'meaningless' the fixture - then whoever is involved should be banned from the sport for life, including SL.

Barely mentioned over here (perhaps because of the AFL and NRL GF's). Matty Johns got far more column inches!
Can't beleive fans are speculating whether Leeds will sign banned players already!

Everyone would do well to read that Fox Sports article linked to above, it may be true, it may be a smokescreen, but if Fox Sports are hesitating to name names then any individual here who is confident enough to name names must either be far, far wealthier than Fox Sports, or more stupid.
Anyway the admins on high have decided that in light of the NRL statement all discussion of the topic should cease until we see what they do on Monday, I've therefore removed those earlier links and the one above should be regarded as definitive until events prove otherwise. |
