it does come down to money as stated in the posts above...been to ur place many times and really enjoyed myself..could mention a certain gary hyde when he went over for a hat-rick and kicked all the goals....going top of the league when we beat you mid-week late 80`s..getting k.o`d in the cup in the 80`s only to come back a week later and do u in the league(pat poasa remember him)...for the good of the game i hope your around for a while in super league,such as halifax and widnes...all the best.....

Thats why I suggested Sarge, gets stuck in, gets knocked about but doesn't lose his rag. Its not as if we haven't had props captaining the team before

Sarge is not on the field enough to be captain, he's only on for 20 min spells in each half, we need someone in the backs to lead, maybe Evans, he's got a cool head and plenty of experience, at this moment in time that's where my captain would be.

I still believe we need to sign a half back/play maker though, if we don't sign one soon, then all hopes for a play off spot will be pie in the sky, we're playing like a team with plenty of heart but no direction.

If your refering to me, i didnt claim it was an insult i said that in every other match this season we have had more than that, which we have, no-one could have known this would be the worse turn out by cas fans all season, or that wires travelling support would be the worst in a long time (worst i can remember anyway, wire used to bring loads). We do have more 6200 home fans but for whatever reason alot of them didnt turn up on saturday.

When we were kids we were told that it was a charge down if we used our bodies to charge it down if we used our hands to try and catch the ball or knock it forward then that was a knock on. Having checked the only source i could find (finding something on the rfl website is bloody hard) it would seem thats not the case.

I thought the charge down rule was changed a few seasons back to allow the use of the hand so as to encourage players to attempt it.

Probably why i got confused i'm sure i remember people getting a knock on for using there hands when i was younger.

Your in form at the moment, just as we were on form earlier in the season, but it can all too quickley change if you lost briers and higham would you be doing as well? probably not, enjoy your success while it lasts, in sport it can be all too fleeting. As for the cup i would like wire to win it more than any of the others, but at the end of the day all the other teams have a better chance of winning it, and to be honest i dont think the other two can beat saints in the cup.

Congratulations. A team full of superstars actually wins a game. You must be so proud of your success, compared to still being below a side without two of their star players and not spending anywhere near the same amount of you.

As long as I've been watching the game (23 years) a charge down has been fine with the hands.

If Tony Smith had been your coach at the start of the season........

One of them is our best hooker and captain the other one is our play maker and only real 7. We only really have 22 frontline players and one of those was an nl1 player last year. If you were going to cause the maximum possible damage to our team by removing tow players it would be those two.
