Very much doubt that, although looking at respective league standings and derby results since 2003 it should be the case.
I suspect that the gate for the Belle Vue fixture generally excedes Wakey's average by far more than the Jungle fixture excedes Cas' average attendance. If so it would be reasonable to conclude the away following is bigger at Belle Vue.
Anyway we always pretty much fill out the Doncaster Rd end wheras you struggle to fully occupy the much smaller Railway end.
But as you say yourself one of us may soon be having a similar debate with fans of some of the better supported NL clubs....no more 5500 averages for Cas in the championship with little prospect of a return to SL. |
