For the record I also think Wakefield youth set up is as good as anyone in the comp as is ours, its a shame that's where it ends and after that our clubs start to fail. But I won't open that can up

Hmm, I think in terms of talent he was up there but obviously personal issues have delivered a hammer blow to his career.
To be fair, as someone has said both clubs have got great academy setups and to be honest we can't really do much about the fact that they get cherrypicked constantly, except by becoming big clubs ourselves. Hopefully we are addressing this with our new stadium projects. | | |

To be fair, the three players mentioned are at the back end of their careers and came through the Wakefield Academy over 12 years ago. Not had many successes since then though. Its a shame however as we have such a good catchment area that both Castleford and Wakefield should be able to flourish with local talent at the business end of the Super LEague table.
