Kirk Dixon is not the fastest of wingers. He is, however, turning into a very wise player. Reads the game well, especially in defence, and complements some of your younger backs very well. Never rated him when he was at Hull, but he's improved a lot with age.
It does bother me somewhat though to think that of late we are using Dixon as a centre. On the wing with his very good goal kicking and ability to take the cross field bombs he's very usefull but in the centres his physicality and ability to beat a man and create for his winger can be limited. If anything I'd sooner see Owen being given the chance in the centre with Dixon moving out on to the wing.
