Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. For those of you who don't know who the Aybertigers are, here goes...
The Aybertigers are basically a rugby league team of Castleford supporters formed by forum member Batman way back in the early 2000's. The team played mostly tag rugby against teams from far and wide, pulling in some trophies along the way. Any lad or lass of any creed and size played the game and attracted large numbers at times. A great team spirit was a hallmark of the team.
I for one miss playing the game and would ask if anyone would be interested in joining or rejoining the Aybertigers. Everything is already in place, all that is needed is the numbers of players to train and play. From being an old man to a young lad there is no discrimination at the Aybertigers, everyone gets a chance and is ideal for those who do not wish to lose their jobs through injury or for people who do not wish to join a fully blown amateur team.
As said the game is tag rugby so injury is kept to a minumum. Anyone willing to play and train should let me know either through this thread, or via private message. Once the numbers are in place then hopefully within the next month we can get a training session sorted somewhere in the local area.
Don't be shy, give it a go, and you'll be amazed how many new like minded buddys you can make.
