Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. Quote ="Pugwash"....in a word FANTASTIC, friendly, noisy, happy and generous.
Many of you helped us out by buying programmes and Golden Gambles and I'm pretty sure one of your first in has won the prize. I was two away and I got mine first to make sure the programmes didn't all go.
It was a good game and you showed why you're doing well in Super League but I feel we showed a few turns ourselves.
All the best for the rest of the tournament, I hope we went out to the eventual winners.
">Pugwash.'"
Cheers Mate,
Has the Gamble been claimed yet?
What was the number, my friend was one of the first in, and didn't hear the Number announced?

| Awesome today.
Bought a programme although I was a bit disappointed by the quality/content (I suppose there are circumstances behind it) but I suppose it's all going to a good cause so can't really complain about it.

Firstly the Golden Gamble winning number was;
[size=2007903[/size
But you can all stop looking as it has been claimed although I do not know who the winner was.
To answer your bit about the quality/content of the programme it is very much a task in progress. For the last three years all Championship clubs were forced to buy the Game On magazine produced by the R.F.L. and we couldn't afford to do an independant one as well as we were just building up from the bottom.
However, when the league dropped Game On we had to produce our own and I took on the task of editing it about two months ago. We have named it The Buzz after an online poll and we are starting to get new stuff in but we have come up against a cost barrier. The programme you see is the best and biggest we can get for the cost so we are now exploring the idea of getting sponsorship for it.
I'd like to make the programme bigger both area-wise and number of pages but that would mean a higher cost to the fans and that may not go down well at the moment. I've got some stuff ready that I can't get in such as appearances etc and some bits from fans who are doing columns etc.
I'd be interested to see one of your programmes if you would send me one, I'll gladly pay for it and the P&P, email me at andy.pugwash@live.co.uk if you will do this.
Look out in the shops for John Stankevitch's book out soon - Being John Stankevitch, it promises to be a good read and I've done an interview with John or the programme as well.
Thanks for the feedback, it's the only way we'll get better.

| Well done to Rochdale, your players had a never say die attitude and you did put a few good moves on, overall I thought you had a decent kicking game and to see two 40/20's in one game is a first this season, we could certainly learn from that.
It's a pity the Hornets didn't make money on drinks and such like, the local pubs seemed to be doing a roaring trade, maybe you should try get advertising for your programme there?

I'd like to echo the above comments.
Also as a side note.....Rochdales last try was a belter, it went through almost every set of hands in their team, support play was spot on and 100%.
