Im not sure what the problem is Charlie. I mentioned Leigh in regards to their signings, its an opinion and most people have one. Its the same as you thinking that us Signing Simon Grix is a waste of money and us pinning our hopes on him been fit. Im totally fine with that, I have offered opinions through the season about the Fax pack been better than Leighs, opinions that you have disputed and came back saying on a dry track Leigh would run riot, obviously your opinion was wrong but again its still fine to have an opinion. My opinion that it will end in tears at Leigh is just my opinion and next season after you win the league and get promoted to SL you are quite entitled to come back and tell me how wrong I were.



Like I said in my previous post we had to put up with you saying how we would finish 7th week after week, again it got a little boring but you were entitled to your opinion but like I said, you cant expect to harp on then when it goes tits up for no one to say anything.



The only time I have really had a pop at you Charlie was all the off topic stuff we have had to put up with but thats up to the moderators and I know plenty of people on the forum who feel the same. I try to refrain from name calling because contrary to what you probably think Im sure you are a nice guy.

Eh Eh calm down calm down. It's just a game at the end of the day and this forum is supposed to be an outlet for informed opinion from all contributors.I for one thought Leigh would be the team to challenge for the million pound game as they have been the best side in our division for the past two seasons with the players and record to do well against SL clubs. Mid season I didn't think we would get into the middle eights. I also think we need to wary of going down the road of accepting mediocrity with Bradford or Wakefield ; Leigh; London;Sheffield all going full time next season.Add Fev into that opposition and there are some intense games to come again next season. I am happy to be proved wrong and indeed have been! but wouldn't take it personally or berate another person's opinion. Come on guys enjoy rugby debate and opinion for what it is-debate and opinion!

If the RFL have some balls they should be docking Leigh points next year for publically stating that they will break the salary cap and will do with these signings. Maybe even docking all the points like the NRL did with Melbourne and then Leigh would be bottom of the table! Whether Leigh like it or not they have to play by the rules. The arrogant attitude that Leigh and a number of its followers have is sadly not doing the club any favours. Stick by the rules and less of the attitude and you might get some respect. Currently they are doing everything to make people not like Leigh which is a shame as the club has managed to sort its problems out and was going in the right direction.

Unless they actually break the rules they can talk round it as much as they like. Hopefully if they do we won't get dicked over in the same way we were with Barra, the RFL, when the time is right, need to act and act correctly.

This weeks press says the RFL will simply refuse to register players who would take the club over the cap leading to a legal challenge from Leigh under restraint of trade.

Time will tell on this one.

We've been down this road before. An individual player would have to show that he was being stopped from earning the entire salary cap for this to succeed.

I like Leighs thinking, spend even more money on troubled players.

But just imagine fax signing rangi chase? Team spirit will only get you so far! I like fax and all they have done but we have doubled were we was at last year before a ball as been kicked! Yes it might be a risk but I can assure you this year our pack wil be better than your and gfb will have too agree

Oggy I'm not sure GFB will ever agree about his beloved Leigh.

Leigh and the players they have will always be carrying too many passengers in the forwards, I not sure if the new signings will change that only time will tell. Fax have no passengers in their pack.

I would genuinely say im more concerned for, than I am jealous of Leigh

Hansen and Chase will both be 30 during the bulk of next season, closely followed by Paterson. I'm happy we don't have DB, Rangi, Harrison, Cory or mr Rowley at Halifax. As the saying goes, it'll all end in tears.

To be fair Chase is a quality player BUT does he bring too much baggage, we will see. Would I like to see him at Fax? Well in some ways absolutely but in others we've got a team that pulls together to get more as a whole than the individual elements, one bad apple can affect all this.

On the above subject. I think Murrell has done the business for us this season and Chase seems to cause more problems than solve them, when he is good he is great, but he does seem to have some issues when things aren,t going well . Our halfback combination with Murrell and Johnston when fully fit will take some beating.

You are right Rangi and Hansen will both be 30 next year , but look at Jamie Peacock,another status is if you look at players like Rangi and Hock , allowing for games missed through Injury, Suspensions,and Club disputes,their playing age might only be around 27.

If anyone can get these players to gel it's Paul Rowley,it's possible it will end in tears ,but I'm hopeful, after all you at Fax has signed Grix , he's been out for a year now and RM has stated he is hopeful of him being fit for next season, only hopeful though.

We at Leigh need a decent winger ,centre pairing now to compliment Kay and Armstrong,if we do get them it could be some Leigh team on the pitch next year.

P.S Have to say though. After this win, it was great to see that sickly smirk wiped off Rowleys face

Would not want to have Chase- he plays one good game in 5 and he does go missing alot when its time to roll the sleeves up. Plus he has the ability to upset the whole squad like at Cas and Salford who were both fairly glad to get rid. Plus I am not sure he is mentally right at the moment after some of his comments about not being in a good place and failure of support etc. Quality player but not somebody who will lead his team around the park and get stuck in. Might be OK in the Championship, but my opinion will go missing in the 8s- if Leigh get there.

Cmon LBC ,IF we get to 8's? I never take nothing for granted in life or Sport,but after last year's season ,Leigh finishing in the top 4 is nailed on,I reckon we would have to lose around 6 -8 matches to not get into the top 4 where are these losses coming from?I know you will say 2 from Fax but if Wakey don't win the Million pound game I can see then doing a London Broncos next year that leaves Fev , Dews , and Sheff to trouble us.



I can see our crowds rising considerably next year and after building momentum up , Rowls and his Staff will do what's needed .Whatever happens with Chase ,our pack will be a Monster next year,our Halves will benefit and with a couple of additions to our back line ,well it will be hey boys hey.

Harrison Hanson is a good signing for Leigh. Had a great game against us for t'red devils in the 8s

Whatever anyone thinks of Derek B , believe me he is no fool, I think he will heed the Cap rules , I've heard there will be a fair few players leaving to make way on the Cap for Chase and the others , last season at times we had up to around 8 first teamers sat in the Stand every week, not playing , our Squad was far to big , next year I think a few of our younger players like Sam Peet and Jamie Tracy will be given chances, it's rumoured Lewis Foster a hooker will given Bob Beswick shirt,, all to save on the Cap.
