Don't know how we can blame the club for Matthew Shaw's tweet yesterday setting the wrong expectations. Although they could've easily pushed the Connor Davies announcement to another day.
Although 10am is an unusual time for an announcement, maybe there is something else to come? |

As for Connor Davies you have to feel for the lad, signing back for his youth team and somehow he gets caught up in this.
Worth remembering that different positions develop at different times in their career, loose forward is a later developing role. Finn obviously liked what he saw, maybe he is a long-term replacement for Fairbank.

Sam Campbell. A 19 year old lad from Dublin who was in Huddersfield youth set up. We do need younger players
Coming through but as the RFL closed the academy and reserves team options for most championship clubs we don’t have a pathway (is that part of the IMG grading criteria which the RFL says we can’t have?) so I suppose we just have to sign young lads and see how the develop.
