For me the obvious solution is to play on the Saturday at 3pm. Players don't have to work a full day beforehand & get 6 days rest. Club doesn't lose out as most fans going to Wembley will be going down on the day plus the only football being played is the FA Cup Final in the evening.

I realise a few people do work on Saturdays but if announced today/tomorrow they have two months to book time off.

No one taking in to account how difficult it is to get people to sponsor a game like Oldham, no disrespect, and in moving that game they could potentially lose those sponsors which is more than likely the biggest source of income from the game assuming most people coming through the turnstiles will be season ticket holders.

To be fair to my very good friends, the Eagles, I believe that is why they play their games at a time mostly inconvenient to travelling supporters but preferred by the sponsors. If that's the revenue stream then fair enough.
