Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com

| Would not have let him go for me but agree we need someone I the halves with pace, Scott has had a great season but he would have had another bagful of tries with just a bit more zip to add to his guile.

I agree. Obviously the Rob situation became untenable really but for him to bag 6 against us smarts and cost us dear this week (3).
Johnno has a big future in my opinion but we do need exactly what you say "zip" - like Penky in his pomp, we just don't have a smart scooter. I like Ben Kaye but he would benefit from watching Penky on reruns, pushing the line when yards are needed and also on the line of course.

| We ought to remember we're probably still ahead of where expected to be, this season was always about foundations and improvement, we've got that in spades.
I see no reason why we can't put in 4 great displays and still raise eyebrows (not the PED type) and aim to win a couple of games, entertain the fans and keep building. A strong finish, a good off season, more improvement and squad strengthening and were good to go.
We need this competition to be a success just as much as our own, it's our ticket to the next level, a few results that don't go as we expected won't do too much harm in the long run if we focus on the things that got us this far.
And whilst I could never support Bradford or Leigh, by beating and pushing SL sides they have validated the competition.
Time to show a bit of class as fans and say well done Sheffield as they beat us fair and square after their own horror run, now it's our turn to reverse the trend and dig in and battle smarter and harder. Nothing has changed, we should still aim to compete and try to win every game with everyone on side.
I'm staying off the player analysis for a few more weeks too, we've supported them all season so let's give them chance to kick on and ply their trade with confidence and security, they've earned that in my opinion.

| We definitely need a door opener for next season, if we had one now I feel we would have beaten Widnes and Sheffield.
Were not getting the rewards from our attacking play in these qualifying games and building pressure on the score board. On Sunday at 18-6 we needed to score again which would have left Sheffield to score four times to win. We of course lost Jonno who until his injury was doing a great job in creating opening for others.
I think everyone knows we need an alterative to Murrell as you cannot expect him to create everything every match. weather Conner Robinson could help fill the roll time will tell.
Much prefer Salty at full back until Miles is fit with Jonno at half back where I think he belongs.
