This is something I don't really understand. Apparently the RFL told SOC that Widnes needed to work on their youth structures, but was there really a problem with the Widnes academy at the time?
Seems to me that SOC took over just a few months after the RFL had decided who the 14 teams would be, but not before going through a nonsense process to try and justify it, and was told to just hang on for a few years. |
