ive got a motorola atrix and all of a sudden parts of the touch screen are not responding to touch. Is this a common problem? does anybody know if there are any easy fixes? would a factory reset help? or is it just kerput!!! im not very teccy so if anyone can help it would be appriciated

I've just made the jump to three and have found their coverage far better than O2, vodafone or orange. I have been able to get HSDPA+ coverage everywhere including up here in northumberland, so far with download speeds that are better than my home broadband. Got a GSiii for free (which is superb) 2000 mins and unlimited data for £34 pm. O2 wouldnt even attempt to match that deal and wanted £100 up front. One pac code later and I'm gone. Good riddance!

Contract is up end of next month.



Still dont want a masssssssssssivvvvvvvveee SIII or HTC One X. Any other recommendations?

I've got one. It isn't half as big and bulky as it appears. It weighs next to nothing and fits easily in my pocket. The screen is excellent for playing games, surfing the net and watching TV.



Other than dropping my S-Pen when drunk and it being squashed by a car (£15 to replace) I've had no problems at all.

I have to say having had my HTC one X now for over a week. It isn't as noticeable size wise in my pocket at my Desire was. I think it's down to the slimness of it, but it's easy to forget it's there.

had the s3 for a week now and it is fantastic, it incredibly smooth and the screen is stunning. The quad cores seem to take anything you can throw at them. Im pretty sure the One x would be on a par though as these two stand head and shoulders above anything out there.



On another note if anyone is thinking of buying into nokia and windows phone 7 dont. Not a single WP7 device will be capable of upgrading to WP8 so yr shiny nokia 900 will be obsolete come November.

Indeed, the way they've gone about WP8 does appear to make any purchase of a 7/7.5 phone seem a bit silly now and I can't see them selling many pre November.



But to be fair to MS, WP8 looks really good and will apparently run Direct X and be far and away the best handsets for video and gaming. I watched a thing on MS the other day and said there isn't currently a phone in existence that could even run WP8, so they are expecting something special when the WP8 handsets are announced.

There aren't many phones that are not obsolete right out of the box...

Just because it won't run the latest version of the OS doesn't mean it is useless, after all the vast majority of Android phones don't get upgraded beyond point updates.

Indeed, and as some people have experienced aith Apple OS upgrades, they aren't always the best step to take depending on how old the handset is.

thats true to a point but this will hamstring WP8 and will crucify nokia. Who in their right mind would buy a 900/710 etc knowing the o/s is coming to a halt to be replaced.Theyre surely looking at another 6 months of flatlining sales (although they probably were anyway) Its like google announcing Jellybean wont run on a single existing device it would seriously undermine android as an o/s. If id bought a 900 which after all is their flagship device and only a few months old Id be spitting feathers. I know WP8 has got a good write up but the tile based O/s doest appeal to me (although strangely I quiet like metro!). MS do like to put limits on things though and their failure to support 1080p display may come back to bite them as the quality of display and pixel density is a big selling point and I cant see taht changing any time soon in a 'retina' marketplace.



Ultimately I can see the market thinning out to Android and IOS only. RIM are falling apart and WP8 will struggle

Anyone who buys a PC/MAC/iPhone/Android handset, all OS's get upgraded and there are many Android handsets out on the market that won't get official upgrades to the next release of the OS. Those that are happy to play about will get the latest software to run but that is a tiny minority of users.







It's a phone, not a HD TV all this b0110cks with retina displays and HD support is just hardware sellers trying to find something to make you upgrade, something that makes your nice shiny six month old phone redundant in their eyes.



IPS screens are coming to the next generation of handsets for those that want it, those that don't will continue to enjoy behind the curve hardware at rock bottom prices.



Don't be fooled by the hype, Apple have one phone, they need to make it look new every 9 months or so.

They did this before and the same stink was raised, nowt happened.

Within 10 minutes someone will have a £3 adaptor on the market so that tw*s can still plug their iphone into their Harmon Kardon stereo to fully appreciate the hollow, dead, souless, plastic music reproduction of their phones.



Another simple answer - don't buy the f****g iphone 5.

I love Apple products but i see no point in moving from the 4S to the 5 if it comes out.



Weirdly being an addict to Apple, i am content.

Dont move from the 4s to the 5, move to Samsung Galaxy.



My work provided phone is the 4s, and yes it is good, served me well and i have had no complaints......... BUT



My personal phone is the Galaxy s2, and i've just got the wife the s3,(brilliant), me, i'm awaiting upgrade time, and i much prefer the all round performance of the galaxy series. After using the 4s all day for work, its a relief and joy to use the galaxy.

Is that more to do with the OS rather than the phone?

SIII is on its way. With who and on what deal, i do not know. Had a play with one today and it was quite frankly superb!

The phone in terms of the far better screen and smoothness of operation, and the OS in terms of user friendliness, third party apps, and better functionality at speed.

Anyone got a HTC Sensation? Nothing but problems, me and the lass have the same one. Can be stood next to each other, one full signal other none. Struggle to get signal on the HTC in places but the sims fine in other phones, and constantly switching off when batteries low.



Is it a fault worth taking back for or will they try fob me off with excuses?

Does anyone know how to stop the Facebook app telling me about every single bloody post that is made?
