I've just come off a job of 300 contractors.
30 bodies crammed in a small canteen room in some cases.
The job is continuing unabated.

No but could the job be made safer - i.e. more portakabins for breaks etc. if so crack on

And if one of the people who is 'cracking on' directly or indirectly infects someone you love, that's still ok?

The Govt have utterly bodged their attempt at lockdown - and it was done 2 weeks too late and in a half-ar5ed way - such that we are now being criticised the world over, and contributing to Europe being the epicentre of infection; whilst China, Korea and other countries who got ahead of it much sooner, are coming out the other side.

We are led by donkeys - it's alarming.

Correct, i am a mechanical and electrical subcontractor mainly in construction. We have 2 main contracts , my bloke are on lockdown on one site. The management at that site have made no attempt to address the situation. I believe they are using this situation to hide the fact that they are way behind programme ,and have no chance of meeting the handover date. The other site we are on the site manager has instructed staff to have lunch and tea break onsite as opposed to the canteen. It’s a 9 storey apartment block. He has limited the amount of people working on each floor, making sure ample space between them. I have made it clear to my blokes if they feel it’s not safe come away. They are pleased with everything that’s going on at that site, so to close that down would be a mistake.

We will test everyone when we have a test that's better than the one now. That process is likely to go for years to determine the effectiveness of any vaccine we develop. I know of at least on site that's being considered for this.

And it would all be SO much better under Cringebin, he would have used a few loaves and some aloe vera and created a vaccine by combining them with the sweat, blood and tears of former miners...

some people need to have a serious word with themselves politicising this situation.
