| So, some of the main players have today said that "the UK necessarily, will get a deal that is less preferential than EU members".
This seems far to obvious and yet Mrs May is still in denial.
WTO terms will mean a 105 tariff on all goods and services into the EU and a full trade deal is likely to take 5 -7 years.
So, where next for those politicians still saying that we can wave a magic wand and have a trade deal in place by the end of 2018.
The absolute lack of a Brexit plan and lack of realism in time scales to extricate the UK from the EU is criminal.
Mr Farage & Co should be ashamed of themselves.
We all need to pray for the EU to crumble.

| TRESemme did well yesterday, o.k she didn't say anything new, but at least she was statesmanlike .
Why then has BoJo got to add his two-pennethworth into the mix?
I understand the arguments for leaving the E.U. I really do, but when a buffoon like him gets involved, I just despair that the richest few have hood-winked the Country.

A previous post suggested people may have voted to leave so that the NHS would get £350 million week and this may have swayed the result.
Is this any different to a false claim made by by the non political Carney and it would now seem the President of the USA regarding trading agreements going forward?

Carney didn't make a false claim. He made a prediction, acted within his power to prevent prediction, made a later prediction after the steps HE put in place worked.

I agree he made the right decisions.
I didn’t really have a point other than the UK made the decision to leave and people must now do like he has and respond to the circumstances for our benefit.

It will be very comforting for the 'ordinary' people who were conned into voting leave, to learn that part of taking back control means that many of the rights and protections they enjoyed as employees will be removed, to the benefit of their employer.

Are these "ordinary" people of which you speak so stupid as to be conned by politicians? I think not. Typical leftist, nannying from the delusional who think they know best and that "ordinary" people are too stupid to understand even the simplest of things. A shameful remark.

What about those who saw the "Brexit Bus" stating we send the E.U. £350M per week, "let's fund the N.H.S".

| I find it hilarious when people talk about leave voters being conned or lied to by politicians, like the EU referendum was the first time a politician has actually lied and it's a new concept that is yet to be fully understood by leave voters.
The old adage 'how do you tell when a politician is lying? Their lips move' is one of the first things you learn about politics. Everybody knows that.

Are we out of the EU yet?
I live in Surrey and in May will get a vote on raising my council tax by £200+ year onto of the £2010 I pay already to contribute to social care. Im hoping they do get the £350m a week.

Another one displaying a laughable lack of understanding of the reasons many people voted to leave. It was nothing to do with an oft-misquoted NHS Bus or politicians, it was more to do with people seeing their jobs disappear, their non-conforming views derided and condemned by a increasingly intolerant and aggressive left, and their communities changed out of all recognition in a very short space of time via mass immigration, which has resulted in huge pressure on the low-end job market and our public services.
Quote bren2kto learn that part of taking back control means that many of the rights and protections they enjoyed as employees will be removed, to the benefit of their employer.'"
They will? Most of those rights are already enshrined in British law, indeed the UK has always been a pioneer in employment rights - way ahead of the EU in many cases. Furthermore, the Great Repeal Bill will convert all laws currently enforced by the EU into British law at the moment of leaving the EU. Hardly the sign of a government desperate to viciously dispose of employment laws, is it? For one thing, why on earth would they? Sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about.

| I voted remain and I was disappointed when the nation voted to leave. However, I try to view things with an open mind so for me I'll wait and see what comes of it all.
My only bug bear with regards to a lot of brexiters is when they say, this isn't what we voted for in the 70s so that's why i voted leave. Personally I think that is a very selfish view point. I voted remain not for my own personal gain (there are some things the EU do which really annoys me) but because I believe that it was a vote for my children and their children and I would like them to grow up in a society where no matter who you are or where you come from, you are accepted and not treated differently. For me, the EU was on the way to being that society.

Same here LLHKR , Brexit won't really affect me , the work I do will continue either way , but I do want my kids and theirs to grow up British , with what I see as British values , I also want them to be able to buy a house , see a doctor , not be scared to walk the street , I'd rather myself and them suffer financially to achieve those aims if necessary IMO
As for the EU itself well it has grown too big , too fast and has too much power both to its leaders and it's member states , it is quite ridiculous that a region of a small country has been vetoing a trade deal with Canada , quite possibly to the detriment of the rest of its members
Time for change IMO

I cant disagree with the things you have said here.
However, do you think that your issues with doctors appointments are due to immigration or, more likely, lack of funding within the NHS.
Also, please tell us what "British values" are because, despite this term being used very liberally, nobody has ever stated just what they mean by this.
As for walking the streets, this was an issue when we were growing up, especially for women.
Mind you, the Yorkshire Ripper, a white man from Bradford was on the prowl back then and lots of people felt very uneasy about being out late at night.
Trade deals I agree about and the UK will have to make deals with most of the major nation in the world, including the members of the EU (adding cost to all goods and services traded with our closest and largest market - both in terms of buying from and selling to them).
Please do tell us about British Values though.
