Just wait for the people defending it then simultaneously moaning about the council. People love to moan about councils, their spending, and council tax increases. Then you get blokes like Desmond who are effectively depriving LAs of much needed income, all with government approval. Great, innit?

I think it is obvious that Johnson with his style of leadership encourages this type of behaviour. It is not a good start because after six months we have Cummins and Jenrick on more than one occasion who believe they can do what they want without fear of any reprisals.
What should make this even more repulsive to the government is that what the council was about to enforce was brought in by the Conservatives to allow the money to be used for local housing. I wonder if Jenrick would have done the same for a similar Conservative council.
