Welcome to the NEW RLFANS.COM. After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us. If you are having problems logging in, please try a different browser or platform, if problems persist then email support@rlfans.com
QuoteAdamjk="Adamjk"I used to absolutely love them when I was younger, but felt they kind of lost their edge after the debut album.
I remember seeing them play at a gig about 10 years ago and it was pretty crazy in the crowd. I ended up getting something like heat exhaustion and temporarily lost my vision for about 5 minutes. Was pretty scary, had to manoeuvre my way through the crowd without actually being able to see anything so that I could find a wall to lean against and cool/calm myself down.'"

LP are on my list of "I want to see once" bands - every other time they have toured I have either havent managed to get tickets or the dates have been unsuitable
It's not often I get REALLY excited about something that drops through my door unexpected, but a pleasant surprise this week has been the new Erin Bardwell Collective album (the name of which escapes me for the moment).
Not only did I get a nice shiny CD of it, but they also very kindly sent me a copy on good ol' fashionded vinyl. Proper solid vinyl too, the sort that went out of fashion in the early 70s. And in an unlaquered sleeve too, it feels like it's straight out of JA, but somewhat delayed.
Musically it's much the same. old school rocksteady, sweet vocals - but with a distinctive English accent - and what sound like authentic era instruments and production techinques.
