To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Put the ice cubes into a bag and leave them on top of the gum for 10 minutes. Then the gum will be hard and will just pick away. If it's quite a big bit then once you've got the top bit off you might find the underneath is sticky - if so just stick ice on it until it's hard.
