To the OP: get yourself a headlamp (not one of those things at either side of your car's wings but a lamp that fits on your head), push the driver seat back and get yourself in your best limbo position and see where it should go.

Get in the library and have a look at the Haynes for it (do they still do those?

) that's what I used to do if something went wrong. Most of the time I managed to fix it myself with one of those.
