*cough* bradford last year.
Fair enough, I didn't think you had.

My comment? I never once said we would and didn't expect to either.
I was hoping though that it would have been closer to your attendance but I'm very happy with the 5000 we got considering there were only about 1200-1500 Cas fans

You are quite correct. It was your sidekick Easty!

I have a question too. How many of those who attended last Sunday's match at the KC were not season ticket holders and actually put money through the turnstiles? I saw the match on Sky and it sounded empty to me.

Not bad considering London only brought 58 supporters and the game was on Sky. You see, we're not the team who DEPENDS on away support to make up the losses for the last 10 games. Good job Cas were around to save Hudgells booty and blushes to the rest of his board.
robinhkr wrote: This in a stadium that has a 25k capacity. There's no wonder that there was no atmosphere in the KC.
Hang on - Your capacity is a mere 6000 yet you can't get anywhere near it! I'd be more worried about your salary cap next season with poop attendances like yours.
robinhkr wrote:Why do Hull Superleague Ltd fans worry about the attandance at Rovers?
We don't worry about them, we just think they're hilariously low.

Without wanting to rain on your parade, there is no chance whatsoever that rovers would average anywhere near 7000 if they were promoted (If we discount a potential "home" game against Hull at the KC), and would, IMO, struggle to reach 5000 over the season, discounting derby games. We heard similar claims from leigh fans last year and their crowds have been pitiful, particularly given their proximity to 1/2 of SL and the benefits that brings with travelling fans.
In the time since Hull have been at the KC, the biggest travelling support has been less than 2500, and that for a top of the table clash with Bradord. I'd be very surprised if any team brought more than 1500, with most at 500 or less, particularly given the less than favourable facilities for away fans.
So what are your thoughts?
My thoughts are that there are plenty of people who have given up on the club with it being overshadowed by the better team, but they would return with the prospect of Super League games (see? You're not the only glory hunter in Hull) and that HKR could well get around 6000 gates should they be able to compete for survival rather than Leigh (they have got a better chance I might add).
Not been much glory in West Hull in recent years so I'd hardly class myself as a glory hunter, although the phrase is probably relative and compared to Haven we've had 30 glorious years since I attended my 1st game at the Boulevard.
With regards to your comment of 6000 gates, it's pie in the SKY. rovers didn't average much more than 8000 when they were the 2nd best side in the country (no prizes for guessing who were the best ) in the early 80's playing at their traditional home. As has been said by the most biased rovers fan on the planet, 5k is more likely, dependant on a decent number of away fans attending, and a modicum of success. If they're getting hammered every week then I wouldn't expect more than 2500 roversfans to turn up for most games

The area I sit in is populated by season pass holders and there were plenty of empty seats due, presumably, to people being on holiday.
The next time rovers get 8000 and consider it a poor crowd come back and have a word with us

The Cas match was very dissapointing regarding the attendance, I believe HKR came up more than £ 30,000 short of what they hoped for, some very carefull and realistic budgetting will be required in the future, the crowds are definatley not reaching some peoples estimates.
