It’s so disappointing that Cobie Wainhouse has failed to deliver on his potential He was almost first team under Smith and now hasn’t even a squad number I believe
For me Ligi has played his last game for Hull - shame for him as he would certainly not have wanted this as his final game - best of luck to him in his future and Thanks for all his efforts

Knight is a good player, like been mentioned he has had injury problems though. I'm still not sure that I would have used the quota spot on a prop though, I'd have been looking at a domestic prop and use the quota on our weaker areas.
Hope the deal is only to the end of the year, if not that's our last quota spot gone and I would prefer to to be used on a halfback or Centre.
Id be looking at bringing Satae back next year, think Cartwright and the team would get him fit and playing well.
I still also hope we are looking at Lam, get that offer back on the table, as he is OOC at the end of the year.

Stay away from Satae hopefully even though he’ll be off quota. Rarely works out second time around and he’ll be 33 himself later this year. Let’s move on.

Whilst I can see the logic in all our overseas signings having worked with Cartwright at some point so he knows what they're like, is it not a risk that by not casting our net wider, we're missing out on potential better players that he hasn't worked with?

Id still take Satae for a year if he is off quota, can't imagine us signing a better non quota prop.
Agree with Steve, I'm sure Cartwright and Myler will, buy its a tough job getting people here, so have to use the connections. Hopefully long term we are more attractive and have more options.

Yeah, he obviously wants people he trusts to get us back on track short term and who he knows will fit in with what he wants with effort in training etc but eventually you’ll think we’ll have to cast the net wider.
That’s assuming the Liam Knight thing is true anyway, and even if it is it the Cartwright link could just be a coincidence, it’s a pretty tenuous link as he was only 20 and made only 1 appearance for Manly.
It is interesting though, it’s the first thing to look for when we are linked with an overseas based player and there is a link there.

So Liam Knight... who else we reckon?? Cap space is there we already know that so looking at Centre and 2nd row as per DT article yesterday who else could we look to get realistically? Obviously Non quota so would think either someone at a top championship club or someone not getting minutes at a SL club.

Sam Royle, Luis Johnson and Harvey Livett all second rowers still without a club. ' Royle seems a really good professional who captained Saints Scholarship, academy and reserves.
Just seen that Holmes is having a knee clear out so hopefully we can get someone in quickly.
