Another player in, hopefully he’s not contracted to anyone else!

It’s all good but there is no disguising that as a Championship side we are definitely fishing in different waters to other championship clubs. A lot of these boys will need to step up quite a few levels if we are to stay up. Eccles I think can do this but early doors I do fear for us. I especially wonder quite where the tries will come from.

How ironic it would be, if in a season where we may have a couple of decent goalkickers, we struggle to score tries.
It’s a tough spot. The Broncos are in a different recruitment pool compared to most Championship clubs, and that gap is pretty clear. Eccles has shown he can get the best out of players, but as you say, a lot of them will need to step up massively. The biggest worry is the attack - where do the points come from? If they can’t find a consistent try-scoring threat, it’s going to be a long, painful season. Early days, but the signs aren’t exactly reassuring. Finally sorting the goal-kicking, only to be left wondering where the actual tries are coming from. It’s a bit of a role reversal from past seasons when we had exciting attacking threats but lacked consistency off the tee. If we can’t find a way to break defences and get over the line regularly, having reliable kickers won’t count for much. Let’s hope someone steps up as a real attacking spark—otherwise, it could be a season of respectable conversion rates but not enough chances to use them!
Was just having a quick look at info for the Wests Warriors ahead of their CC game against Leeds, in their lineup for tomorrow is ‘I Macani’ - Ilies Macani? Too much of a coincidence for it not to be surely?

You would have thought he's good enough to be playing for us at the moment. Bit disappointing.

It’s his son. The lad had been with Leeds Rhinos academy.
