Olpherts was picked over Walmsley for the semi and the final at the back end of last season despite Olpherts being told he was leaving. That made me wonder whether Powell had the same reservations. I expect Walmsley to start the season, and then it's down to him if he keeps the shirt or not.

Walmsley has looked decent in an outstanding team that slaughtered the Champs comp. I just don't see him pulling up trees in SL, I'd be ecstatic to be proved wrong though. He'll not be alone in the less trees pulled up stats tbf, but he in my mind shows the least promise of finding another gear. I'd have given Olpherts the shirt if he was still with us and make walmsley fight for it.
Agree with all that, but I think that’s why we brought it Matty Russell. He was a straight swap for Olpherts really - does all the same things but slightly more consistent. I imagine Walmsley will start the season, and if he can’t hack the physicality then Russell will take his place. I’m with you though - I really want him to prove everyone wrong, he’s a really likeable character.

Pre season is a great opportunity to do a feature on every first team player, basic stats with action photo gallery and a couple of personalised comments. Basic but more interactive and effective.
Perhaps a weekly competition to generate responses. Free wall paper photos, screen saver photo roll outs.
Feature on the new disciplinary rules that have a summary or run down. There’s a lot that can be achieved.
It’s better than years gone but it can be much more.
Like this feature, 80 minutes in 80 seconds. Love the different angles of the game, it's something I've seen the other codes do well.

I like that a lot. If we get something like that for every game then that’s cracking coverage along with the shorts etc we have been seeing.
Last year the YouTube channel grew from a couple hundred to now almost 4000 subscribers. It would be a good idea to try do the same with a TikTok channel if possible.
Cas saw a huge boost with their association to that love island ex player. Do we have any famous ex players or club associated persons/or Wakefield that we could collaborate with perhaps to advertise our socials?
I feel this is the only way you’ll see big growth. The content will certainly aid steady growth.
Jeremiah Simbikin has been found guilty of a late hit on the passer with contact to the head. Under the controversial new disciplinary system he has been given five penalty points and a fine. The RFL said they would look at whether disciplinary decisions from last season would carry over onto the new system. No announcement about this review has been issued, yet Eribe Doro of HKR has been given a two match ban for a similar offence during their game against York in Amsterdam
