All in all, I enjoyed last season. The fact that we were doomed to be relegated before a ball was kicked. Cast a shadow over it all. However the team that was without doubt, on paper the poorest in the comp, played well above expectations. Looking at the season overall, we came so close to not finishing bottom of the Super League. Those golden point losses to Leeds. The Hull FC game lost in the final minutes. All could have easily have been wins. We only needed in the end, one point to embarrass SL. However, following the Broncos is what we do on a Sunday, so how I saw things may differ from others. So as I asked. How was Season 2024 for you?

I enjoyed it. Did 11 home games and two aways. The lads didn't give up until the end. Went to the last match in Warrington which was emotional when the lads said goodbye. Given that we were on a hiding to nothing, the team's spirit was outstanding. Glad to see more new faces. Hopefully we can retain them.

I think the fact we were going to get relegated whatever seemed to bring out a real underdog spirit with the players. We could have possibly won another game or two and not finish bottom but it was not to be. Real highlight was beating Hull twice, Low being the number of players we have lost. Enjoyed seeing PL a bit fuller, certainly added to the atmosphere. I can only hope that any new players that are brought in are up to the challenge of playing ( and keeping us) in the Championship. Happy New Year to all, COYB!

I saw one victory and a small handful of games where we were in the game for decent spells. I think that exceeded expectations and the squad and Eccles are to be congratulated as they clearly improved but no I didn’t really enjoy the season. On the plus side it was much better than the Coleman era and we’ll see how 2025 pans out but all the signs are pointing to a ‘challenging’ season. Let’s see. All the best to all. I’m off to get hammered.
