Yeah he looked so good in pre-season, a very visible step up from what i'd seen previously. Accelerated in to each defender and hit hard, i was looking forward to seeing him in the first team, so hopefully will get some game time with Okoro And on the Harvey Livett stance..... absolutely not.
Harvey Livett isn’t a bad player, he is a good squad option. But for me his signing would be similar to the signing of Minikin, it would highlight a gap in our youth system that I hope we have solved. I wouldn’t want to sign Livett just because it could take away game time from the likes of Holroyd, Whitehead & Tupea.

There isn’t a player better equipped to be on the bench than Harvey.
Can play every position very well, and can kick a ball as good as anyone. A Swiss Army knife.
I'm not quite sure where this perception of Livett's versatility comes from. He's a second row or centre (and a rank average one at that) who could maybe fill in at half-back in an emergency - nothing more. Would you want him at full-back, wing, or prop? Even a half-back emergency would be better filled by Ratchford, Powell or Currie. It's a definite 'no' for me.

Yes, good summary I think. Im wondering if perhaps we might have brought him back on a low wage as a useful back up ? this assumes that the rumour is true in the first place of course.

So reading that he is likely leaving the Giants because he will be down the pecking order. So why would he be any further up the order here. Would rather spend the money on finishing painting the stadium.
