It's not like they won't know us.

The point of the friendly is to run our plays and see how we are progressing in our training.

Would be nice though to take a relatively strong squad, but resting a couple of known faces.

Maybe give Bain a go at 13, to see how he goes there, and try out Russell and Trueman in the halves.

Whoever plays alegend won’t be happy unless we put 50 on em.

Always wondered whether the coaches have a word with each other to ask how senior they're going. Seems most clubs have a rhythm to their friendlies; one mixed side (I assume Leeds), one junior/possibles side (Dewsbury), one starting 17 (Cas). Never liked turning up on Boxing Day and Leeds had named their academy. Even worse when they beat us.

I think it’s usually a mixed bag on Boxing Day from both teams and I’m fine with that.

Probably start out reasonably strong for 30 and then see plenty of interchanges.

The one thing I’m hoping to see on Boxing Day and pre season is for us to re-affirm the defensive structure and intent.

I know it was championship last season but I was impressed by how structured, aggressive and fit the defence was almost all season. Something I’d not seen at trinity for quite some time.

I don’t think the physicality in the middle is too much different from Championship but the edges are bigger and better drilled so I’m sure we will be prepared.

Reading the TJ interview he received his pre season plan end of last season. That shows exactly how efficient we have become behind the scenes.
