2025 Betfred Super League Fixtures Betfred Super League will have its most streamlined fixture list for the competition's 30th season in 2025, with more Thursday, Saturday and Sunday fixtures – kicking off with Wigan Warriors launching their bid for a third consecutive title at home to local rivals Leigh Leopards on Thursday February 13, exclusively live on Sky Sports.
For a huge year of Rugby League which includes an historic fixture between Wigan and Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas on March 1, and is set to end with the first Ashes series since 2003, Rugby League Commercial and the RFL have worked with the clubs and broadcast partners to deliver a greater spread of matches across each weekend.
Thursday night fixtures have been confirmed through until the penultimate round in September, including Wakefield Trinity hosting Castleford Tigers in the first match of Rivals Round across the Easter weekend from April 17-19, and two Thursday night games in Round 20 which is split across two weekends from July 24 to August 1.

I think Wakefield could be a banana skin. Always tough playing a team who have just come up, especially when it is a local derby. We could do with winning this, to get off to a good start.

Crazy that we have so many Saturday games beaten only by Catalan who prefer their Saturdays. We are traditionally have a Friday night following so it will be interesting how many will turn up to watch on a Saturday. Do many of our Saturdays coincide with Leeds United's Saturday fixtures?

Much prefer a Friday night. Atmosphere so much better. I'd also have thought that Friday nights are better for corporate hospitality? Maybe wrong though.

I'd be interested to know how much say the club have in it? Are they moving away from Friday nights as a strategy? We do seem to have played incrementally more over the last few seasons. Personally, I don't mind it too much because the crowd is bigger (more travelling fans) and the I think the atmosphere is better. Appreciate some folk have grown up with Friday nights and I can see why they would be upset. Both are better than Thursday nights, which I really don't like at all.

All about opinons I guess. Agree that Thursday night games are abysmal. Can't help but feel Sky have nowt of interest and RL is a convenient filler. The fixtures look to have been done with TV largely in mind, so do we know if these days are now fixed? No last minute mucking about for TV? That really would be annoying if not at all surprising.
