Barn Door is now taking the p155 and he clearly wants out....But only on a freebie ,rather than a transfer fee having to be made to secure his services.

Think you’re wrong Tad. Just looked at the Fulham F.C profile and a few other football stat sites and they qualify him as a right footer that plays on the left wing. The Spurs profile classes him as an inverted left winger, i.e right footed. There’s no doubt he can use his left peg but just watch him the next time he gets the ball, always coming inside to get it on his right foot. That’s why he’s not getting down the outside of defenders. He did it once for the Joseph goal but you’ll be lucky to see him do that on more than a couple of occasions this season. The other problem is his lack of pace. If you’re Mo Salah you can prosper in the inverted winger role because you have the pace to run in behind or past defenders, Solomon doesn’t have that pace. In short, Solomon is a centre forwards nightmare, constantly checking back inside instead of looking to get to the byline.

Summerville was a better version of an inverted winger but the wheels came off for him when teams sussed him out and he failed badly in the final part of the season. Summerville was part of an impotent forward line that couldn’t trouble teams in the important run in and 4 points from the last 18 killed us last season. He ran down so many blind alleys that last 7 or 8 games he didn’t look the same player that won Championship Player of The Year.

Yeah easy to view Summerville and Rutter with rose tinted glasses but both fell to bits when it really counted at the back end of the season..

From what i've seen of Solomon so far is that he struggles to move the ball quickly too, he tends to slow it down too much. Some of that is just the way he's been coached before and he should get better. BUT, he needs to improve fast otherwise i'd send him back in Jan and get an upgrade in there

I think a lot of that was down to how teams defended against Summerville in particular. Rutter on the other hand tried to do too much and frequently took the wrong option. When it worked it looked good but that was rare. I agree on Solomon who has the ability but doesn`t have the pace. I would be giving him an ultimatum that he needs to shift up a gear or he goes back to Spurs and as long as we have a better replacement.
