Bit of a conundrum really, think weve still some wood to shift and still got £££ into players in contracts that in the cold light of day were overpaying / value for money.

Dont think we'll see clear daylight until we wade through some of the OOC players this year and then Blease can hopefully work his magic with a bit more cap breathing room.

It's true we've probably still got some players that if they played for someone else we wouldn't be falling over ourselves to sign them, but this will change over time as they (hopefully) don't get renewed. I think we've still got room for a forward and it's a toss up if it's a front or back rower for me.

As the squad continues to get reshaped, and the club culture improves combined with bringing the kids through again, we'll be in good shape for the coming years. I'd expect us to win the GF or CC again within then next 3-4 years, perhaps sooner if we are lucky. This is what we should be aiming for, and then consistently at the top of the game thereafter.

Who are our 2nd row options, Bentley, McDonnell and Gannon with Palasia and Jenkins able to cover but then reducing our prop options?

We have got to be in for a 2nd row as we can't count on Gannon and one serious injury to Bentley or McDonnell leaves us very light.

Personally, I would like another second row and another prop but can't see that happening.

I'd rather have the correct type of backrower.

The problem is finding one ,or if we can't get a short season loan or 1yr deal so we aren't bogged down with another workhorse for 2-3 years

IMO Presley Cassell will make his first team debut in 2025
He's a very talented young player and one who could play selected games next season without a doubt
