The games afoot wrote:As for Peggy…..I have said before why I no longer go…..as for the cost of New York….cost us a bit yes…the pass money was a throw away remark, will I go to games in the future, don’t know but won’t stop me supporting the club but you have to have a pass and go to every home and away game, spend a lot in the shop to be a fan…the minute you don’t go…you just get slagged off on here

I've had meals in NY that cost more than a season pass.

You can do what you want but it's a bit rich slagging off others who do give up their time and money to support the club

I must say as a fan its disappointing that our new Coach is now here and there has been nothing of note from the club other than a brief post on his arrival on social media and not much at all in the main stream media unless I've blinked and missed it.
The club seems to still be doing it's best keep distant from its fanbase despite Mylers promise to repair the disconnect caused by the club.
I'd have thought with the first renewal deadline approaching this weekend the club would have been all over the media re Cartwrights arrival to try and pull some of the fans that are still sat on the fence as to renew or not.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Well, I’ve just bitten the bullet and renewed my pass.

I think a lot of clubs will see sales down next year due to the TV deal. As last season got worse, my patch in the East Stand got emptier week by week - and I sit in the reserved section. A lot of pass holders were voting with their feet.

Having every game on telly makes not going an easy option - especially when the performances are so poor.

Last season, most of us knew the season was gone after the first few weeks.

£300 is a decent chunk of money to gamble on the hope that next year will be better.

I used to go with five people but since Covid, (for multiple reasons) it’s now just me going.

I think a real danger for our club is that when a fan stops coming, they rarely come back.

Agree to an extent. At the same time I also think the guy has just moved around the world and could probably do with a week or so to find his bearings and get himself settled in. I'm sure over the next few days an interview with him or something will be released.
But yes you are correct still in what you say. The club must surely know fans are wanting to know as much info about the club as possible right now, and now everybody knows he's here in the city surely they must realise people will be eager to hear something further about it and hear from the guy himself.

I said the same the other day. We are entering a new and hopefully exciting era and he is arguably the most significant appointment in years.

I would have expected a bit more coverage from the club and also the press. I want to know what his first impressions are and what are his plans for pre-season. Even a short interview with the usual platitudes would be a start. The coverage in the press is non existent.

I'm beginning to wonder if he has underestimated the task in hand realised he has made a mighty mistake and has buggered off back to Oz!!

I haven’t slagged anyone off about what they spend….if they want to then that’s great but to some on here if you don’t go you get belittled….as for New York…credit card has took some serious hammer and not as cheap as you think

just tried to book and all gone. Could they have found a smaller room anywhere? Probably want as few there as possible to minimise the risk of getting too much grief

It's a decent sized room if its the one i'm thinking of, maybe 300 seats.
